The superfinishing sequence of bearings can be generally divided into three steps: cutting, half cutting, finishing.
A: Cutting of bearings
When the surface of the grindstone is in contact with the convex peak of the rough raceway surface, due to the small contact area, the force on the unit area is large. Under a certain pressure, the grindstone is first subjected to the "anti-cutting" effect of the bearing workpiece, so that part of the grindstone surface abrasive particles fall off and splinter, exposing some new sharp abrasive particles and edge. At the same time, the convex peak on the surface of the bearing workpiece is subjected to rapid cutting, and the convex peak and grinding metamorphic layer on the surface of the bearing workpiece are removed by cutting and counter-cutting. This stage is known as the cutting stage, where most of the metal allowance is removed.
B: Half cutting of bearings
As the processing continues, the surface of the bearing workpiece is gradually smoothed. At this time, the contact area between the grinding stone and the workpiece surface increases, the pressure per unit area decreases, the cutting depth decreases, and the cutting ability weakens. At the same time, the pores on the surface of the grinding stone are blocked, and the grinding stone is in a semi-cutting state. This stage is called the semi-cutting stage of bearing finishing. In the semi-cutting stage, the cutting marks on the surface of the bearing workpiece become shallower and appear darker luster.
C: Finishing stage
This is the last step in the superfinishing of bearings. As the surface of the workpiece is gradually polished, the contact area between the grindstone and the surface of the workpiece is further increased, and the grindstone and the surface of the bearing workpiece are gradually isolated by the lubricant film. The pressure per unit area is very small, and the cutting effect is reduced. Finally, the cutting is automatically stopped. This phase is called the finishing phase. In the finishing stage, there is no cutting trace on the surface of the workpiece, and the bearing shows a bright gloss of the finished product.
The function of bearing fit is to make the static ring and rotating ring of the bearing consolidate together with the static part (usually the bearing seat) and the rotating part (usually the shaft) of the installation part respectively, so as to achieve the basic task of transferring the load and limiting the position of the motion system relative to the static system in the rotating state.
On the shaft and in the bearing housing, the bearing is required to fix its position in the radial, axial and tangent directions. The radial and tangential positioning is realized by the tight fit of the bearing ring, and the axial positioning is only used in a few cases. Generally, axial limiting parts, such as end caps and retaining rings, are used to limit the axial position within the clearance range.
The performance of preventing adhesion and boundary lubrication when the bearing diameter is in direct contact with the bearing bush. The material factors affecting the friction compatibility of the friction pair are as follows:
(1) The difficulty of forming alloys in the metallurgy of secondary materials.
(2) The affinity between the material and the lubricant.
(3) The friction factor of the auxiliary material in the state of no lubrication.
(4) Microstructure of materials.
(5) Thermal conductivity of materials.
(6) The size of the surface energy of the material and the characteristics of the oxide film.
The high-pressure oil is injected into the bearing through the nozzle with the oil pump, and the oil injected into the bearing flows into the oil groove through the other end of the bearing. When the bearing rotates at a high speed, the rolling body and the cage also rotate at a high speed to form air flow around it. It is difficult to send the lubricating oil to the bearing by general lubrication method. At this time, the lubricating oil must be injected into the bearing by high-pressure injection method.
